1 What do these symbols mean?


Each Congress Shuttle Hub has a designated symbol to assist you finding your correct bus.  These symbols will be found in the departure area for your bus line.   Please see the Congress Shuttle Hub page for more detailed information on your corresponding Congress Shuttle Hub.
2 How do I get to my hotel? Delegates who register for airport services prior to Nov 4 will receive a Karwa Taxi Voucher upon arrival.  Please fill out the arrival information within your online registration order.   You will receive more details after you register your arrival time.
3 How do I find my hub? The 20th WPC website lists hotels by Congress Shuttle Hubs (which hub is the closest to your hotel).  You should also ask your front desk where the nearest hub is located.  All hotels will be provided a map to show the nearest hub.  Many hotels are providing additional service to the closest hub; please inquire directly with your hotel.
All delegates will also be provided with a map in their delegate bag showing locations throughout the city.
Transport staff will be stationed at all hubs to provide assistance.
When returning to your hotel, look for your Congress Shuttle Hub symbol to guide you to the correct departure area.
4 How do I get to Opening Ceremony (4th Dec)? Opening Ceremony buses will begin departing Congress Shuttle Hubs at 17h00 Dec 4.  Once the bus is full it will depart to Doha Exhibition Center (DEC).  The last bus departure from the Congress Shuttle Hubs will be at 18h15.  You must have your Delegate Badge to enter the building.  REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION NUMBER IS NOT VALID FOR ENTRY.  You must be seated by 19h00.  Bus departure service will begin after the ceremony is completed.  If you need to leave prior to the completion of the Ceremony please speak to a Transport staff member for assistance or go to the helpdesk.
There will be two departures directly from QNCC to DEC - one at 17h15 and one at 18h00.  There is NO return service to QNCC.
5 How do I get to Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC)? Shuttles will run from the Congress Shuttle Hubs from Dec 3 to Dec 8.  Each hub location will have specified times; general hours of operation are as follows -
Dec 3 service runs from 10h00 to 17h00
Dec 4 service runs from 08h30 to 15h30
Dec 5 - 8 service runs from 06h15 to 20h00
6 How do I get to Arabian Night? Arabian Night service is a continuous shuttle throughout the evening.  Buses begin departing Congress Shuttle Hubs at 19h00 and will continue until 11h30.  Please note taxis are not permittted inside Katara (per Katara regulations) and the drop point is aproximately 10-15 minutes walking from the main area of activities.
There will be one-way service from QNCC to Katara beginning at 18h30.  There is no return service to QNCC.
7 When do I need to be at QNCC? Sessions start at 8h00 daily.  Allow a minimum of 10 minutes from arrival to reach your session.  Last advised morning departure time will be posted per Hub location.  Shuttles run from the Congress Shuttle Hubs throughout the day.
DEC 5th OPENING SESSION SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCE:  If you are not AT QNCC BY 08h00 and seated by 08h30 the morning of Dec 5 you will not be able to see HH the Emir's opening session.  Security for HH the Emir is extremely high-level and neither vehicles nor individuals will have the ability to access or exit the venue while he is on-site. If you have not picked up your badge in advance, please be sure to allow ample time for the registration process at QNCC as you will not be allowed into the conference hall without it.
8 Can anyone take the bus? To take the bus you must have your badge or your registration confirmation.  Please note there is no access to any venue other than QNCC registration area without a badge.
9 Am I only assigned to my hub? Not at all! Anyone with a badge is welcome on all our shuttle services.  Please note entry to social events is restricted to only delegates (and exhibitors who have purchased the social-event package).
10 Do I have a guaranteed seat on the bus? No. Buses will run during their set operational period.  Seats are first-come first-served.  It is advised to allow ample travel time to avoid queues.
11 What happens if I miss the bus? If you are unable to wait for the next available shuttle, you will need to make your own arrangements. Transport staff will be present at all departure points to assist you.
12 What are my other options besides the bus? You may take a taxi, take the hotel car or rent your own vehicle.  Please note any services other than the bus are not complimentary and will be your responsibility to arrange.
13 How long does it take to get there? Time travel varies per route, but generally allow for half hour to one hour of travel time.  Once you have arrived at the venue, there is a minimum 10 minute walk to reach your destination.  Please note shuttle drop locations are closer than private parking locations.
14 Am I allowed to drive to the venues? Yes. Private vehicles will be directed to parking areas. Please allow extra time to reach the venue from the parking lot.
15 Where can I park at the venues? There are general parking areas at all venues.  Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) has a 6 storey parking garage adjacent to the building.  Doha Exhibition Center (DEC) will be using the lot to the south of the venue.  Katara Valley of Cultures will utilize the underground parking garage.   Please note that shuttle drop points are closer than parking areas.
16 Will you book my car/bus/transport for me? 20th WPC Transport are running the Congress Shuttle Bus System and are not booking services for individuals.  Please make your own arrangements for a personal driving service or private rentals.
17 How do I rent my own vehicle? You are responsible for all aspects of a car rental.  Renting vehicles in Doha requires a credit card, a valid driving license and a passport or local ID.  Please note vehicles are extremely limited during the Congress period.  There is a list of rental companies available within the Transport section of the 20th WPC website.  Private rental is an individual responsibility.  20th WPC is not responsible for assisting your booking or mitigating any issues you may have.
18 How do I get an ambulance? There will be an ambulance located at every 20th WPC venue.  Please speak to the nearest staff member for assistance.
19 Will there be wi-fi on the buses? Some of the tour buses are equipped with wi-fi.  These buses will have signs on the interior indicating the availability of wi-fi.
