For the first time in its 78-year history, the World Petroleum Congress will be hosted in the Middle East, in Doha, Qatar, from the 4 to 8 December 2011. Held every three years under the auspices of the World Petroleum Council, the congress is the largest and foremost international oil and gas gathering in the world. Hosted by Qatar Petroleum, the congress is themed: Energy Solutions for All – Promoting Cooperation, Innovation and Investment.
