We proudly announce the opening of the Call for Projects for the Social Responsibility Global Village that will be hosted within the 20th World Petroleum Congress Exhibition. The Global Village will showcase projects and initiatives under the chosen theme: Promoting Human Development through Innovative Social Responsibility Programmes. The 20th World Petroleum Congress Organising Committee invites companies and organisations to submit their projects and initiatives that best illustrate the beneficial link between corporate social responsibility and human development.

| 21 of the Top 25 International Oil and Gas Companies Confirmed as Exhibitors
A full year before the 20th World Petroleum Congress Exhibition and we are close to posting the Sold Out sign. Organisations such as Saudi Aramco, Qatar Petroleum, CNPC and CNOOC of China, Petrobras of Brazil, Rosneft and Gazpromneft of Russia, Kuwait Petroleum, Sonangol of Angola, Sonatrach of Algeria, ExxonMobil, Shell, Chevron, Total, ConocoPhillips, BP, Statoil, Oxy, Repsol, Maersk Oil and GDF-Suez, are all taking part with more confirmations still being received. 30 November 2010 saw Qatar host the 2nd IEF – IGU Ministerial Gas Forum with the participation of H. E. Abdulla Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, Deputy Premier, Minister of Energy and Industry, Qatar.
Under the theme “ The Role of Natural Gas in a Sustainable Energy Future”, Ministers and gas industry leaders from gas producing, consuming and transit countries, discussed key challenges facing the natural gas industry and how it can help develop a sustainable response to climate change.
