It has taken 74 years for the largest petroleum congress in the world to come to the largest oil and gas producing region in the world: the Middle East. On behalf of my esteemed neighbours, I am extremely proud that the State of Qatar has the honour of hosting the 20th World Petroleum Congress, in December 2011.
